As promised more news on the veggies ..♥

There is good news and bad new, first off i have had
blight on the tomato and lost them all , i think alot
of growers have had this happen too , due to very wet
and warm weather, let me know if you have had this too ...
also my peppers and chillis are not looking good, they
are very slow growing with the leaves turning black and
dropping off, might be somethink eating the roots...
spring onions too are not doing well, all leaves and
no spring, not even summer ones ...
but good news lot and lots of lovely runner beans ...Yum ♥

A trip to the zoo...♥

Back from Paignton, the drive down there was not so good.

Traffic was very slow but we got there in the end , the
weather was good sun shining all day. We took a trip to the zoo ...

This old fella is taking a stroll in the sun, it was very warm..

These two ladies had just been fed and were riveted by
Jim, their keepers talk about them. He told us about
how they have a policy at the zoo, they do not enter the
enclosure at all, but have taught the elephants to offer
parts of their bodies through the fences I would of liked to
have seen...

Time for some more ladies..

These strange little hens popped out of a bush and ran down a path
to our surprise, we thought nothing of it at the time, but every now and
again we could hear some surprised visitors and we would look around
and about 5 of these little ladies would come running up the path as if late
for a sale on at Marks & Spencer's.
You could imagine them have little hand bags and calling to the one lagging
behind "Hurry up Mildred, or we'll miss all the bargains."

This giraffe was having some brunch while the youngster was
indoors out of the sun..

This zebra was taking it easy in the sun, after an exhausting
morning of posing for pictures..

Baboons, just monkeying around..

One of a group of pelicans we watched being fed by some of the children
that were also visiting that day..

On another day we had a game of miniature golf, with a hint of pirate..

This was it all lit up at night, we played in the afternoon.
I had a great time but got a bit wet, as there were cannons which would fire and splash water up from the small lakes around the landscape.
Unfortunately, I had to let Simon win I couldn't embarrass him on my first try..hehe

All in all, it was a wonderful weekend with sunshine every day, the only bad part was eating a bit too much cake and ice cream..

so ends another busy week ....

this is the end of another busy week.i have not had any time to get out side,
its been raining and sunny so there will be lots to do in the garden
i think the peas have just come to an end and i could do with the pots to thinout some spring onions
i will get out and take some pics this weekend the runner beans will be ready to start picking soon too

oh i nealy forgot .. today i got my frist comment
